This Privacy Notice describes how Black Cat Studios collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our mobile application Pookiebase (the "Service"). Black Cat Studios is the data controller responsible for your personal information under the GDPR.

In-App Purchases

Pookiebase offers optional in-app purchases that unlock additional features such as customisation options, bulk ISBN scanning, and increased collection limits.

Purchases are processed by the platform through which you downloaded the app: Apple Inc. through the Apple App Store or Google LLC through Google Play.

We do not collect or store payment card numbers, billing addresses, or other full payment details. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple or Google according to their respective privacy policies.

We receive limited information necessary to activate or restore premium features, such as confirmation that a purchase was completed or restored for your account.

Google Books API

When you search or scan a book using its ISBN, the ISBN number is transmitted to the Google Books API to retrieve book metadata. We do not send your email address, password, screen name, or collection data to Google. Retrieved metadata may be cached in our global books table to improve performance and reduce repeated API requests.

We use the Google Books API to retrieve book metadata. Only ISBN numbers are transmitted.

You may export your collection from within the app before submitting a deletion request. Once deletion has been completed, deleted account data may not be recoverable.
